THE ENGLISH-FRENCH-RUSSIAN CONSORTIUM BECOMES THE WINNER OF THE COMPETITION

Today the open international competition for the development of a concept and master plan for the eco-district in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, has been completed. In the open part of the meeting, the jury, chaired by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, reviewed the projects submitted by the shortlisted consortia – teams led by ASADOV and partners, Knight Frank, Buromoscow – and chose the winner of the competition.
The victory was claimed by the English-French-Russian consortium led by Knight Frank (Russia, England), with its project “Ecopolis “Two forests”. Other members of the consortium include: XTU architects (France), Oxo Architectes (France), John Thompson & Partner/JTP (England), Arkhitekturny Desant (Russia, Republic of Tatarstan), Terra Scape Architects (Belgium)
The second place was awarded to the Russian-British consortium led by ASADOV and partners (Russia), with its project “Life on the border with nature”. Other members of the consortium include: PROSPECTA (Russia), HPBS (Russia), BIOREGIONAl CONSULTING LIMITED (Great Britain), LDA Design Consulting Limited (Great Britain), KPMG Limited, Russia / KPMG Russia (Russia).
The third place was given to the Russian-Dutch consortium headed by Buromoscow (Russia) with members: NL Architects (Netherlands), OKRA Landscape Architects (Netherlands). They presented the project Arakchino Urban Park to the jury.
